A round table was held at the Institute of the Caucasus Studies of ANAS. The round table was opened with an introductory speech by Ramila Dadashova, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, and acting director of the Institute. She noted that the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29 - in Azerbaijan this year is another victory for our state under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Head of the Institute's department of International Relations of the Caucasus Countries, PhD in History Gunel Musayeva gave a report on the topic “The Impact of Military Activity on the Environment During War and Peace”. She spoke about the negative impacts of wars and conflicts around the world on the environment. She also analyzed the environmental problems created by Armenia in Azerbaijan and the Caucasus region in general during its occupation of Azerbaijani lands. Then there was a discussion.
