A presentation of the book "Ilham Aliyev and the Firsts in Independent Azerbaijan (2003-2024)" by Musa Gasimli, correspondent member of ANAS

On December 23, the book "Ilham Aliyev and the Firsts of Independent Azerbaijan (2003-2024)" by Musa Gasimli, historian, scientist, deputy speaker of the Milli Majlis, corresponding member of ANAS, was presented at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS. The event was attended by members of parliament, well-known representatives of science, education and public life of the country, outstanding young people from different fields, members of mass media and other guests.

 Academician Isa Habibbeyli, President of ANAS, in his opening speech spoke about the historical victories achieved by Azerbaijan under the leadership of Azerbaijan's President and Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev and noted the scientific and political importance of the book presented to the public. Academician Isa Habibbayli, who said that President Ilham Aliyev has defined the main directions and priorities of the new historical period of Azerbaijan, said that in the new historical period our country has advanced on the path illuminated by the ideas of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, has crossed the path of development of the century and has become one of the powerful states of the region. The territorial integrity and sovereignty of our republic have been fully restored as a result of the Homeland War, which has no parallel in our centuries-old history, and anti-terrorist measures had been successfully implemented.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that the book presented to the public by Professor Musa Gasimli also largely reflects the diverse and fruitful activities of the country's President Ilham Aliyev in the field of science. He noted that the new publication is interesting not only as a product of the author's scientific ideas and thoughts, but also as a product of his analytical approach to the process of international relations, which he directly observed. President Ilham Aliyev has achieved significant successes unprecedented in the history of Azerbaijan, stressed the head of ANAS, noting that all these achievements are presented at a high level in the work. The authoritative work written by Musa Gasimli, corresponding member of ANAS, about the leader of our country, which combines political and scientific thinking, is unique. Academician Isa Habibbeyli stressed that the book "Ilham Aliyev and the Firsts of Independent Azerbaijan (2003-2024)" comprehensively highlights the firsts created in the history of independence by President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, his high reputation in the world and the global community, his worthy place in the Turkic world, as well as the brilliant image of the head of state. Musa Gasimli has managed to create a perfect, magnificent and original portrait of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in this book, hailed the presentation of the publication as an important event in the socio-political life of our country and wished the author new creative successes.

Later, one of the reviewers of the publication, Elnur Kalbizade Associate Professor, PhD in History, Head of the Department of the Institute of Caucasus Studies of ANAS  provided detailed information about the book "Ilham Aliyev and the Firsts in Independent Azerbaijan (2003-2024)". He said that the basis of the book allows us to clearly understand how the wise political line defined by the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was developed by the President, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in accordance with geopolitical realities. Elnur Kalbizadeh pointed out that the work has a clearly defined concept and a logically developed plot.   Elnur Kalbizadeh added that the monograph discusses the international resonance of President Ilham Aliyev's policies in the field of culture and sports, such as the holding of the Eurovision Song Contest, the First European Games and the IV Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan as a symbol of the unity of the Islamic world. The path to the establishment of state sovereignty, the steps taken and, at the same time, the opportunities and potential threats that have arisen for Azerbaijan after the magnificent victory. At the end of his speech, he expressed his confidence that the theme of the monograph, which discusses the firsts in our history created by the President, will be one of the main guiding sources for researchers in the future.

It was noted that this authoritative work, which illuminates the tireless activity of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with facts, is a valuable scientific source. The speeches also praised the author's great success and professionalism in perfectly presenting the achievements of our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the book. At the end, the author of the book, the deputy of the Milli Majlis, the corresponding member of ANAS, Musa Gasimli, spoke about the merits of the publication. He expressed his deep gratitude to the people who contributed to the creation of the book, to the organisers of the event and to the participants.
