A presentation of the books of the Institute of the Caucasus Studies of ANAS was held

On January 10, a presentation of the books published at the Institute of the Caucasus Studies of ANAS was held. The event was opened by Ramila Dadashova, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor and Acting Director of the Institute. She said that the results of scientific analysis, proposals and recommendations of the institute's employees are reflected in fundamental works every year, published and sent to state bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as academic circles. Scientific works that serve the interests of the Azerbaijani state are published in journals in highly rated scientific databases. 51 monographs and books by the institute's employees have been published in Azerbaijan and 10 books abroad. In 2024, the institute published 10 books - 3 monographs, 2 collective works, the scientific-theoretical journal "Caucasus Studies", "Actual Problems of Caucasus Studies (Collection of Articles)" and 3 conference materials. R. Dadashova also noted that the presentation of the monograph "Ilham Aliyev and the Firsts in İndependent Azerbaijan (2003-2024)" written by corresponding member of ANAS, professor Musa Gasimli was held on December 23 at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, and the presentation of the monograph "Heydar Aliyev: A conceptual view of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations" written by doctor of political sciences, associate professor Ramila Dadashova was held on May 8 at the Institute of the Caucasus Studies of ANAS at an event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. 

Then, the book “Georgian-Armenian Relations: Establishment, Current Status and Problems” written by the head of the department of the institute, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Vahid Omarov, Naziya Mammadova, Nigar Mustafayeva was presented. The scientific work, written based on reliable sources, examines the establishment, current status, and problems of Georgian-Armenian relations. Most of the scientific materials used in the work have been included in scientific circulation for the first time. It was noted that the author of the book's idea and scientific editor is Professor Musa Gasimli, corresponding member of ANAS. The book's reviewers, Doctor of Historical sciences, professor Gasim Hajiyev, Ph.D. in political science Samira Habibbeyli, Ph.D. in History Gunel Musayeva shared their thoughts on the book. Ph.D. in Philosophy, associate professor Vahid Omarov spoke about how the book was created and the goals and objectives of writing it. 

A book titled "The Armenian Community in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories of the Russian Federation" written by Ph.D.in Economy, Associate Professor Liliya Mirzazade, Gunay Feyziyeva, Shahnaz Rahimova was presented. Using various sources, the work examines the history, demographic situation, socio-economic, and political conditions of the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories of the Russian Federation and the participation of Armenians in them. It was noted that the author of the book's idea is Musa Gasimli, corresponding member of ANAS, the scientific editor is Ph.D in Philosophy, associate professor Vahid Omarov, and the reviewers are Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Gasim Hajiyev, and Ph.D. in History, associate professor Elnur Kalbizada. Co-authors Gunay Feyziyeva and Shahnaz Rahimova shared their thoughts on the book. 

A monograph entitled “Republic of Azerbaijan - Georgia Relations” written by Ph.D. in political science Samira Habibbeyli was presented. The author provided information about the goals and objectives of the book, as well as the scientific results obtained. The scientific editor of the book expressed his gratitude to Musa Gasimli, corresponding member of ANAS, reviewers Doctor of Political Sciences, professor Elman Nasirov and Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Hikmet Babaoglu for reading the book and providing their valuable opinions, as well as to the participants of the event. Academician Mukhtar Imanov, political commentator Elshad Hasanov, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geography of ANAS Kamran Ramazanli, who participated in the event, shared their thoughts on the books. They stated that there are valuable scientific research works for Azerbaijani science.

The scientific secretary of the Institute of the Caucasus Studies, Ph.D. in Psychology, Assoc. Prof. Sudaba Huseynova and the assistant director Mazahir Sadikhov expressed their opinions on the publications and congratulated the authors. Finally, the authors of the book expressed their deep gratitude to the participants of the event. Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, and Acting Director of the Institute Ramila Dadashova congratulated the authors and expressed her gratitude to the participants. She emphasized that they will work harder for a strong Azerbaijan by writing scientific works that serve the interests of our state.
