A republican scientific conference was held on the theme "Identity factor in interstate relations in the South Caucasus: from history to the present"

A republican scientific conference was held on the theme "Identity factor in interstate relations in the South Caucasus: from history to the present" with the participation of researchers from Azerbaijan, Turkey and China on November 6 Organized by the Institute of the Caucasus  Studies of ANAS, at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded. The dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. At the conference, Ramila Dadashova, a doctor of political sciences and acting director of the Institute of the   Caucasus Studies, gave an opening speech. She noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the independent and modern Azerbaijani state is experiencing the brightest period in its history. “We, scientists, must also contribute to the development of Azerbaijan with our science, knowledge, and scientific results. The President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, has always created conditions for us scientists and researchers to hold such scientific conferences that benefit our state and people, R. Dadashova noted.” A video dedicated to Victory Day was shown at the conference. Then, Ramila Dadashova, doctor of Political sciences, associate professor, and acting director of the Institute of Caucasian Studies, gave a report entitled "The Importance of personal friendship between presidents in interstate relations on the example of the friendship of Heydar Aliyev and Suleyman Demirel."She stated that the personal friendship between Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and Suleyman Demirel was of great importance in the development of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations on national roots. 73 scientists and researchers from a number of ANAS institutes, educational institutions and scientific organizations operating in Azerbaijan, including 4 scientific researchers from Turkey and China, presented reports at the conference. The reports were discussed in 6 sections. The reports examined the role and personality factor of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in interstate relations and in creating stability in the South Caucasus, as well as the activities of other historical figures of Azerbaijan. Finally, a final evaluation was conducted. It should be noted that the Institute of the Caucasus Studies has held 3 international Forums of Caucasian scholars, 3 international and 10 republican scientific conferences, reports and abstracts have been published and sent to relevant state institutions of Azerbaijan, along with the speakers. The works of the institute's scientists have been published in highly rated international scientific journals. The Institute's scientific-theoretical journal “Caucasus Studies” published in three languages is included into two international indexes. The institute's website (www.caucasusstudies.az) operates in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.
